Marble Double Eye Idol, Tell Brak, Syria, c. 4000 BCE

These figurines were excavated in the 30s of the former century, at Tell Brak, now North-East Syria, it used to be the ancient city of Nagar. Once, a temple was situated at the site and it appears that these “eye idols” were given as offerings, as thousands of them have been found. Hence the temple is called “the Eye Temple”.
Harvest Goddess Statue from Mohenjo Daro, or "Mound of the Dead" is an ancient Indus Valley Civilization city that flourished between 2600 and 1900 BCE. It was one of the first world and ancient Indian cities. The site was discovered in the 1920s. Cucuteni culture is a Neolithic–Eneolithic archaeological culture which existed from approximately 4800 to 3000 BC from the Carpathian Mountains to the Dniester and Dnieper regions in modern-day Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine.
