Geology Map

Enigmatic, baffling, beautiful, or otherwise geologically interesting places on Earth. It is sparse, by no means systematic, and, as mostly everything in this website, just a personal compilation for future reference. Please use the full screen mode button Fullscreen Icon for a better experience, and remember you can select the background map type with the layers button Layers.

Disclaimer: my ignorance on both standard geology, fluid dynamics, the effects of electrical discharges, and plasma physics in general, prevent me to solidly argue for or against  the possibility that the locations in this map could be instances of electric geology. I am aware that enigmatic, baffling, unexplained, or unconvincingly explained are not synonyms for electric. So at the very least then, these are beautiful, interesting places.
